Greetings! We are excited to announce that as a result of an intiative of the ASEACCU Executive Board, Coursera is now offering free trial license for members of our community. 

Brief Introduction on Coursera: 

Coursera is an online learning platform featuring courses, degrees, certificate programs, and tutorials in a wide range of subjects. Over 300 leading universities and companies provide instruction, including Stanford, Duke, Google, and IBM.

Type of Courses Available for ASEACCU Members: 

After the ASEACCU Conference in Baguio City last year, members have expressed interest to continue the conversation surrounding Laudato si’ and the concrete actions we may take within our communities. Coursera has curated a list of SDGs related courses that may inform the topics we touched on during the Conference.

There are also other free courses across a range of subjects available on the platform. Some paid courses offer the option for you to fill out an application to apply for financial aid to take the course. 

Each course page will detail the learning objectives, syllabus, estimated study hours and assessments. Courses usually take 2 to 4 weeks to complete. Upon enrollment, you can get graded, partake in peer-review assignments, and receive a certificate at the end of the course. 

Offer Terms and Conditions: 

Coursera has offered a limited number of trial license (expiring November 2024*). We encourage members to make use of the opportunity to experience the platform and study a course. 

• Each ASEACCU member institution may request a maximum of two license, subject to availability on a first-come first-serve basis
• Each License is intended for one user only. This is because the user information and name used to sign up for an account will be reflected on the coursework and certificate

*The expiry date is subject to change and Coursera reserves all right to alter the license. 

Action Required from ASEACCU Members to Sign Up for this Opportunity: 

• It is at the discretion of the member institution office responsible for liaising with ASEACCU on the promotion of this opportunity and the selection process to allocate your two complimentary license
• A staff representative may email the ASEACCU Secretariat to request a license 
• Provide the following in your request: 
  1. User Name*
  2. User Email Address 
  3. User Title or Level of Study and Program 

Important: The personal information and name used to sign up for the account will be reflected on the certificate, so users are reminded to use their identification names accurately.

Should anyone wish to experience the platform before requesting a license, a 7-day full access free trial is available once to anyone who signs up on Coursera.
