The first ASEACCU by-laws were approved at the 4th General Assembly meeting in Seoul, Korea from August 23 to 25, 1996 and took effect as of August 25, 1996.

The present by-laws were amended at the 10th General Assembly meeting in Fremantle, Australia from August 2 to 4, 2002.

Additionally, amendments to the by-laws were made at the 24th General Assembly Meeting in Broome, Australia in 2016, at the 25th General Assembly Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand in 2017, and at the 32nd General Assembly Meeting in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2026.
