Cultural visits<\/span><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"tabAccordionContent\"><div class=\"btText\" ><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u00a0conference\u00a0has\u00a0arranged\u00a0visits\u00a0related\u00a0to\u00a0\u201cSustainable Development Tour&#8221; or &#8220;Cultural Heritage Pilgrimage&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pilgrimage or Eco-Tour: Groups will be formed based on the number of participants (separate groups for teachers and students).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Multiple routes will be designed, such as sustainable development tours and Taichung cultural tours, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Travel to and from these sites will be pre-arranged.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Delegates will also visit the Gao-Mei Wetlands.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gao-Mei Wetlands (Birdwatching, water play and sunset seeing)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Gaomei Wetlands are located on the south side of the Dajia River Estuary in Qingshui. Over 120 bird species have been recorded here, it is an important ecological conservation area. It is not large, but because it has both mud flats and sand beaches and is also connected to the estuary&#8217;s swamp area, it contains a rich variety of flora and fauna.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also offers beautiful sunsets over a unique manmade landscape, Gaomei Lighthouse, and wind turbines. There are two types of plugs: type A with two flat pins, and type B with three-pin plug (two flat pins plus a round grounding pin), commonly used for laptops or medium to large appliances. Two flat pin plugs also fit into three-pin sockets. Drinking Water<\/span><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"tabAccordionContent\"><div class=\"btText\" ><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Generally, tap water is not consumed in Taichung and it is recommended that the public boil tap water before drinking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are usually hot and cold water dispensers available at the Conference venues for everyone to use. With PU\u2019s commitment to sustainability it is recommended that you use and refill your conference drink bottle, or personal drink bottle, throughout your time in Taiwan, rather than purchasing bottled water.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\" \/><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div><div class=\"tabPane\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"tabAccordionTitle\"><span>20. Emergency Protocol<\/span><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"tabAccordionContent\"><div class=\"btText\" ><p><strong>In the event that an earthquake occurs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prepare an &#8220;emergency evacuation\u00a0kit&#8221; and place it in an easily accessible location.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During an earthquake, stay calm and ensure your safety, especially being mindful of falling objects.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the shaking is intense, first take cover under a sturdy table or next to a main pillar.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do not take cover under light fixtures, near cabinets, or by the refrigerator during an earthquake.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Immediately turn off any fire sources in use.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do not use elevators.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Move to an open area immediately and stay away from signs, trees, buildings, and utility poles.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are driving during an earthquake, do not brake suddenly or change lanes.
